The MHSAA organized the first ever Middle School Regional races this year.  Dakota high school hosted the Zone 3 region, which is comprised of school from Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties.

The Mustangs cruised through the muddy two mile course with some of the fastest times that they have ever run. Jamison Crottie was the fastest Clawson runner of the day.  He set a personal record of 14:16.  Elaina McDonald was the 2nd fastest Mustang at the meet.  Her 14:21 puts her at 4th on the Clawson middle school girls' 2-mile record list.
Strong runs from Lucy Thomson, Mallory Coatta, Payton Hill, Charly Werenka, Aniyah Keith, Lucy Werner, and Abbi Payne enabled the Mustangs to finsh 18th out of the schools in the tri-county region.

The boys did not finish enough runners for a team score, but Ben Koehler and Nathan Shephard joined Jamison Crottie in running peronal records for the distance.
