Mustang Cross Country Runs Fast at Algonac

The Clawson Middle School cross country team travelled to Algonac on Saturday to race 16 other schools in the Muskrat Classic. The girls team finished 5th overall. Lucy Thomson was Clawson’s top finisher, completing the 1.6 mile course in 11:26. 6th grader Elaina McDonald finished in 11:49, which earned her the 19th spot overall and a medal. Mallory Coatta, Payton Hill, Charly Werenka, Lucy Werner, and Savannah Gnass filled out the scoring positions for Clawson.
On the boys’ side, Jamison Crottie ran a PR of 11:44 to lead the Mustangs. Ben Koehler and Nathan Shepard both ran hard races.
