Varsity Cross Country vs. Lamphere , Liggett, and Renaissance

The Trojans hosted their second meet of the week on Saturday, with morning races versus Lamphere high school, the University of Liggett high school, and Detroit Renaissance high school.
Ryan Lodato was the quickest Trojan of the day. His 20:19 5k was good enough for a 3rd place overall finish in the boy's race.
In the girl's race, Claire Thomson took the lead at the 1k mark and never let up. Her 20:44 matched her performance from Tuesday's race. Abbey Lodato followed her brother's lead and placed 3rd in the meet with a season's best 22:02.
Both squads lack the 5 runners necessary to earn a team score, and continue to look for runners to join them. Any high school student interested in joining cross country should email coach Thomson at dthomson.math@gmail.com, or stop by a practice to talk to him.
