Varsity Cross Country Runners Keep Running Faster

Trojan runners continued to improve their times as they raced over the rolling hills of Cass-Benton park at the Tommy Titan Invitational in Northville on Saturday morning.
Claire Thomson finished 3rd in the field of 259, and set a personal record completing the 5k in 19:47. Abbey Lodato finished 21st overall with a season best 21:54. Samantha Brown and Sarah Spielbusch each improved their previous times by more than a minute.
On the boys side Ryan Lodato was Clawson's top finisher setting a PR and just missing a sub-20 5k by one second. John Dickey was the second Trojan to cross the finish. Nico Nader made his 2019 season debut by finishing the race 2 and 1/2 minutes faster than he did last year.
The Trojans will travel to Marysville on Tueaday in the first MAC Jamboree of this season.
